Collaborate with IESL NSW chapter
IESL NSW chapter is a tailor-made platform to network, learn and to enjoy the companionship of fellow engineering community. The chapter organizes series of events throughout the year to provide opportunities for engineers representing different disciplines to collaborate and be a part of the community. While you gain something from us, there are quite a few ways where you can share your knowledge with others too. We invite all the fellow engineering professionals out there to participate in any of the following publications and events and be acknowledged by fellow engineers.
Newsletter
IESL NSW chapter publishes a newsletter once in every three months. The newsletter keeps our members in the loop and updates on chapter news. In addition, the newsletter publishes articles from the members, which enables knowledge sharing. If you have got an interesting technical article, a project story, or any other publication material that you think is worth sharing with your peers, please send them to us via the following email.
Please send your articles or further enquiries to editor@ieslnsw.org
Young Engineers presentations
IESL NSW chapter Young Engineers Day is designed to showcase the tremendous talents and the potential of our young engineers. This provides an avenue to mark your presence in the community and open fruitful discussions with fellow engineers. We encourage all young engineers who are under 35 years, to take part in this event. This year, the Young Engineers Day is planned on May 2021. A formal invitation will be sent by IESL NSW chapter to submit your abstracts/proposals close to the date of the event via our website. We will invite about 10 successful applicants to present their work at the IESL NSW chapter Young Engineers day event.
Engineering Conference
IESL NSW Chapter presents Engineering Excellence Awards annually to honour outstanding achievements in engineering in the following categories
- Best paper published
- Best innovation and/or invention
- Best applied engineering project
Two awards; highly commended and winner, will be awarded for each category
The objectives of Engineering Excellence Awards are to recognise the contribution of engineers with Sri Lankan background living in NSW or ACT for ecologically sustainable development and wellbeing of the community. In addition, we would recognise cost effective, innovative and excellent engineering solutions delivered in their professional capacities. A formal invitation for applications will be published on the IESL NSW chapter website, closer to the event date.
