Message from President, IESL

president-iesl-2017It’s with pleasure that I send this message of felicitation to the new Executive Committee that will steer the activities of the New South Wales chapter for the 2016 / 2017 sessions.
The first ever overseas chapter of the IESL, the NSW Chapter has a commendable record of not only extending membership services of the parent body to engineers of Sri Lankan origin in the region, but also through many programs that it has successfully undertaken of its own initiative has established it as a full-fledged arm that could function with greater autonomy in the best interest of its members, the profession and the country.
I take this opportunity to convey the institutions gratitude for the commitment shown by all past executive committees of the chapter under the leadership of their respective chairs to develop the chapter to its current status and the respect and good standing it has earned among professional and government organizations in Australia.
I am fully confident of the new Executive Committee of the NSW Chapter for the 2016/2017 session under the leadership of its Chairman, Eng. Dayantha Jayarathna, and the co-operation and support of the chapter to achieve the IESL’s goals for the new session 2016 / 2017 under my presidency.
