We encourage our engineers to actively participate in these lecture series and invite your friends and colleagues in Australia , Sri Lanka and around the world to share their achievements to enhance knowledge among engineering community.
IESL NSW Chapter has planned over the year 2022 to conduct the annual Young Engineers Day (YED) dedicated for newly graduated engineers and undergraduates attached to various universities. The Chapter will also conduct “Women in Engineering Day” as a part of recognition of women engineers in the engineering profession and to provide support to progress their career with confidence.
We encourage our membership especially our young engineers and women engineers to share their views and experiences during these forums and thus use this opportunity to interact with practicing engineers and expand their network. We would also like to encourage them to make this newsletter as a platform to publish articles to share their ideas and experiences.
I am proud to mention that our current committee has representatives from Canberra and Newcastle. This has created an excellent networking opportunities for engineers from Canberra and regional town of Newcastle
We had the past chair meeting on 11 December 2021 along with our committee members. During the meeting our committee was able to share valuable experience of the past chairs to formulate a range of strategies to deal with the challenges faced by the Chapter today. I would like to thank sincerely all past chairs for their time spent at this meeting and for making significant contribution to enhance chapter activities.
