Voluntary Contribution from Chapter Membership for Term 2018-2019
The IESL NSW Chapter Executive Committee is seeking voluntary contributions from the Chapter members to cover the expenses for planned chapter activities for the calendar year and its administrative costs. This issue had been discussed during the last two Annual General Meetings (AGM). It was approved to collect an Annual voluntary contribution “to cover the expenses for Chapter activities and costs incurred due to administrative expenses”. At AGMs members discussed the amount to be collected should be a minimum of $25.
We would like to inform you that we have an exciting year planned with five public lectures, Young Engineers Day, Women in Engineering Day, Engineering Convention followed by Gala Nite and Industrial Visit etc. We have planned to publish four newsletters and an Engineering Magazine. In addition to above activities we have administrative expenses for insurances, post box renewal and other miscellaneous expenses. Our main income is from sponsorships, advertisements and ticket sales during Gala Nite. It is increasingly difficult to obtain sponsorships. We try to keep the ticket price to an affordable level to increase the member participation at the Gala Nite.
