What is the IESL Chapter membership ?
IESL NSW Chapter is a registered association in Australia under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (the Act) in New South Wales.
One of the main requirements as a registered association is to maintain a membership register. ‘
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
According to the current constitution of the IESL NSW Chapter, any financial member of the IESL is eligible to be a member of the chapter. By virtue of his or her residence, any current IESL member residing in New South Wales, Australia, legally, is eligible for membership of the chapter without any preconditions.
Upon receiving the application, the IESL NSW Chapter committee will review the application and verify the applicants IESL Membership status with the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. Once the application is successfully processed the secretary will send a letter / email to confirm the chapter membership.
The membership of the chapter will be effective after the applicant received a letter form the secretary of the chapter confirming the enrollment of membership.
CURRENT MEMBERS OF IESL
If your membership is current you should indicate that in the application form by selecting the tick box in front of ” I am a current member of IESL”
If you are a member of IESL but the membership has lapsed due to non payment of membership fee you should tick the box in front of ” I am a member of IESL but required to renew membership”. We will still process the application and activate your membership once you pay your fees due to the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
If you are not a member of IESL you are not eligible to become a member of the Chapter. However you can become a member of IESL by following the due process. We will retain your details as an associate of IESL NSW Chapter until you complete your application process with the Institution.
RECORDING THE CHAPTER AFFILIATION IN IESL ( SRI LANKA ) MEMBERS SECTION
In addition to applying for the NSW Chapter membership, the IESL members are required to record their affiliation to the NSW Chapter in the “Member Services ” of the IESL.lk website.
There is no special membership fee payable to the NSW Chapter, as the IESL members have already paid the membership fee to the main organisation.
