4. Voluntary Contribution from Chapter Membership

The voluntary contribution scheme launched in year 2018/19 was a success and the Chapter received significant amounts from our General Membership.

5. The Young Women Scientists Camp 2020 – My experience from Australia

The 2020 International Young Women Scientist Camp and Smart Sister Workshop ran from the 4 – 6^th of November, bringing together female engineers and scientists from around the world to a hybrid conference held both online and in person in Daejeon, South Korea.

6. Border is closer now – Pacific Highway Upgrade

Pacific Highway upgrade between Hexham (Newcastle) in NSW and Queensland border has been upgraded to four lanes to improve traffic safety, reduce travel time and improve amenities to local communities.

IESL NSW chapter is a tailor-made platform to network, learn and to enjoy the companionship of fellow engineering community. The chapter organizes series of events throughout the year to provide opportunities for engineers representing different disciplines to collaborate and be a part of the community.

10. Recording of the public Lecture by Dr Varuna De Silva – Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Engineering Applications

Dr. Varuna De Silva delivered a fascinating Public Lecture on 17th of February 2021. The online event was well attended with the participation of over 50 engineers from different fields.
